Captain Ty Naquin, owner and operator of Performance Fishing Charters based in Hopedale, Louisiana, grew up with fishing in his blood. From his earliest memories on the water with his dad to running his own successful charter business, fishing has always been more than a pastime—it’s a lifelong passion. Over the years, Captain Ty has developed a deep respect for the waters surrounding New Orleans and an unmatched understanding of the fish that thrive here. His love for sharing this experience is what drives every trip he runs.

Before starting Performance Fishing Charters, Captain Ty honed his skills as a deckhand aboard offshore vessels out of New Orleans. Those years on the water gave him hands-on experience with Louisiana’s diverse fisheries and taught him the importance of patience, preparation, and teamwork. He learned the art of guiding through experience—reading the tides, understanding seasonal patterns, and creating memorable days for guests who return year after year.

Today, Captain Ty specializes in inshore fishing across New Orleans’ marshes, bays, and bayous. He’s known for his approachable, family-friendly style that makes both beginners and experienced anglers feel right at home. Powered by twin Mercury 200hp engines, this boat glides effortlessly through the winding rivers and shallow bayous of South Louisiana. With room for up to 11 anglers, it’s perfect for groups and families looking to fish together without feeling crowded. The boat is equipped with a GPS, fish finder, live bait tank, and trolling motor—everything needed for a productive and enjoyable day on the water.
